The Core

The Site
The Core is Eden’s education centre which was inspired by the Fibonacci sequence, a mathematical pattern found in nature.

Design Services
Luke Greysmith (whilst at LUC) developed a site layout that embedded the building into the hillside and wrapped a series of paths around it to provide step-free access even though it is two storeys internally.

Results
External landscape spaces were created by merging the pattern of the roof into the surroundings and incorporating the surface water drainage culminating in a triangular settlement pond, which also takes rainwater from the roof.
