MASTERPLAN

Eden Project Cornwall

The Site
The world famous Eden Project grew out of a china clay pit near St Austell and has fired the imagination of millions of visitors ever since.

Design Services
Whilst working at LUC, Luke Greysmith was one of the core design team members from the outset in 1997. He helped to create the overall site masterplan incorporating the visitor centre, biomes and staff buildings alongside the visitor infrastructure for vehicles and pedestrians and the sweeps of structural planting. He had specific responsibility for the biome interiors creating the landform and visitor routes that are designed to reveal an unfolding experience moving through a series of newly created spaces.

Since opening in 2001, LGLA Projects have continued to work with the Eden Project on numerous schemes including most recently a new plant nursery completed in 2023.
